Some people consider lovely hair to be one of their greatest assets. And a dry hair treatment can help to keep it that way.

I've learned a thing or two while living with girls. Probably one of the first things is that they must have their way. The toilet seat must stay in the Down position. Big surprise, right? Then there's the fact that they prefer boring, romantic flicks over horror and action movies.

But I've picked up quite a few useful tips as well. An example is dry hair treatment. The ladies can usually show you how to keep your hairdo soft and shiny.

Maybe that's not a benefit sought after by most men. Regardless, it's something women need to know. With all that blow-drying, coloring, bleaching, and flat-iron use, it's vital to gain an understanding of the repair process.

Although I don't spend a good deal of time on my hair, the women I live with certainly do. That's with the exception of my seven year old of course. She could care less if her hair is brushed, dry, wet, or even clean for that matter. It doesn't even register on her list of priorities.

As for my wife and 18 year old daughter, it's a different story. Hair is high on their priority list, in fact it is Critical to their daily appearance.

A day doesn't go by without them styling, deep conditioning, coloring, straightening, or curling their hair. Don't get me wrong; I find nothing wrong with this. It's terrific when women care about their appearances. Even if it takes three hours in the bathroom.

I feel fortunate that I can just go pee behind a tree. No sweat whatsoever. Anyway, with all this harsh styling, grooming and primping of the follicles comes responsibility. We're talking dry hair treatment. Nothing will dry out your hairdo more than coloring, blow drying, straightening, and curling.

All that heat can turn your hair into straw. Suddenly it's brittle and difficult to manage. Luckily for you a dry hair treatment is within your grasp. The only question is; do you want an over-the-counter solution or one you'll find in a salon?

You can take your pick from any number of conditioners and dry hair treatments at your local department or drug store. The hair isle certainly has plenty to choose from. This makes it convenient for you to manage and care for your hair each and every day at home.

Or, you can buy a professional dry hair treatment at your favorite salon. My wife and little girl go in for a deep conditioning each month and it seems to help a lot. I have a real appreciation for all that women go through in the pursuit and maintenance of beauty.
